The Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant ( Khrueang Ratcha Itsariyaphon An Pen Thi Choet Chu Ying Chang Phueak) is the most awarded order of Thailand. It was established in 1861 by King Rama IV of the Kingdom of Siam.

Established by His Majesty King Mongkut Rama IV in 1861 and amended in 1869, now has five degrees and two medals. Awarded to persons of both sexes.

Senior officials of the Order are sovereign and head of the order (His Majesty the King), grossmester (usually one of the senior princes of royal blood), Chancellor, Secretary and King-at-Arms.

Special rate: Knights Grand Cordon

Persons awarded the rank of General and his equal.

Insignia Knights Grand Cordon of the Order include the sign, worn on a chain or sash on a red silk moire ribbon-thin flat sling around the edges - green, gold and blue (from the edge inward).
