The medal "For the liberation of Prague (Russian Медаль" За освобождение Праги ") was a Soviet award during the Second World War as part of the Prague operation that led to the conquest of Prague by the Red Army. As of 1995, the medal had been awarded to 400,000 people.
Stylish look and manner
The bronze medal on their obverse shows two crossed below, upward curved quarter-circular bay and open branches which are connected at their lower intersection by a Soviet star. Between the bent branches of laurel a radiant sun rises. The top medal edge of the semicircular inscription: За освобождение determined (for the exemption) and including lying horizontally inscription: Праги (Prague). The reverse depicts the three-line inscription: 9 / MAЯ / 1945, the Datun the final taking of Prague. Including a Soviet star is also shown.
The medal was worn on the left side of the upper chest Beliehenen of an elongated pentagonal fabric-covered buckle, whose base color is purple. In this band a blue center stripe is perpendicular woven. The accompanying interim clip is of the same nature.
