The Order of Glory (Russian Орден Славы) was born on 8 November 1943 sponsored by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union. The Order has three classes and was only given to soldiers up to the rank of sergeant. The rental practice was that a soldier was first awarded the lowest ranking third grade, then the second and finally the highest, first class. Carriers of all classes were "Knights of the Order of Glory", leading to the same privileges as a "Hero of the Soviet Union" legitimate. The ribbon of this medal is the St. George's ribbon. In the Great Patriotic War, First Class of the Order was awarded 2,200 times. The Order received 46,000 Class II and III. Class 868,000 military personnel.
