The Princely House and Phoenix Hohenlohesche Order was the House Order of the noble Hohenlohe and was founded on December 29, 1757 Prince Philip I of Hohenlohe-Waldenburg-Schillingsfürst on his 95th birthday under the name House Order of the Golden Flame. History
Prince Karl Albrecht I, the son of the founder, was in 1763 as a senior mainline head of the House of Hohenlohe-Waldenburg and renewed the Order in 1770 under the name House and Equestrian Order of the Phoenix, which in German of nobility with at least four ancestors and proven Stiftsmäßigkeit could be awarded to foreigners as well as proven by needle sample.
