Foundation 10/09/1901 by the Dowager Duchess Frederica of Anhalt-Bernburg, co-ruler of 1855-1863, with the permission of the Duke Frederick I, Duke Frederick I. corresponded to the desire for the foundation of a memory character by Highest Ordre from 28.07.1901.
