The Lifesaving Medal was on August 16, 1833 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. donated by Prussia. You could be awarded to individuals who had saved his own life under threat another person. In the Free State of Prussia a successor was founded on 9 June in 1925 by the Interior Ministry, which was awarded to 1936. There was (not portable) from a Lifesaving Medal (portable) and a commemorative medal for rescue from danger. The creation of a Lifesaving Medal of the German Empire had failed in the Weimar Republic. In the Third Reich a Lifesaving Medal of the Order (portable) and a commemorative medal for rescue from danger was on June 22 in 1933 after the Prussian model from the President (not portable) donated.
