The Alexander Nevsky Order was on 29 July 1942 sponsored by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet. He was given to commanders of the Red Army, which show personal courage, boldness and courage and able leadership in the fight for the mother country in the Patriotic War, and thereby ensure the success of the unit.
